Some
of you might remember the postcard printed forty-some years ago . . .
These
are photos of the
amazing quilt put together by Simpson Homemakers. It contains 63
historical photos . . . tickets
on the quilt sell three for only five dollars, and can be
purchased at Simpson businesses or from any of the Homemakers . . .
The
same quilt from different angles . . .
The
draw for the quilt will take place at Simpson Homecoming on Sunday July
2 right after the church service . . .
The
young Austin brothers show off some 1912 heavy duty pulling power. . .
Those girls in the centre photo, posing with a mule, are the Taylor
cousins Marj and Bessie. . . And do any of you remember threshing
machines and pitching bundles?
Did
they really stretch their firewood back then?
Hey, the school closure in 2004 wasn't all that long ago . . .
More
priceless history . . .
The
good old days . . .
See
you at the Homecoming . . .
