Meetings of the organizing committee are held the last Monday of each month at 7 pm in the Community Centre. Ideas and volunteers needed.
If anyone knows of a band to lead the parade, let Donn Bergsveinson know-836-2160
For ball tournament information or to register a team, please contact Sheldon Peevers at 836-2007.
T-shirts are being ordered, and possibly keychains and/or pins.

Because the Friday is July 1, and there are other Canada Day celebrations and fireworks going on, we opted to have ours on the Saturday night, and not have a Cabaret, which is a good money maker, but a great deal of work.  Also trying to simplify a bit, as there are fewer people around to do the work, and we're not getting any younger!!  Other things to be decided as we go along.

Anyone in the area who has a "century farm", or close to it, please advise the committee, so they can be recognized. Lloyd--do what you want with this.

Still looking for information on family farms reaching the century mark. Contact Donn Bergsveinson or Marilyn Crawford.

January 31 Update

The "Celebration" committee met on Jan. 31.  Several new ideas were brought forth for the July 1-3 weekend, which will be looked into.  It was decided to order a tent for registration again, rather than having it in the hall, as had been planned, due to accessibility.

Several donations have been received to help offset expenses.  Lori Crawford, in charge of souvenirs, was given a budget to work with so they could be ordered.  Colleen Hunt is once again in charge of raffle prizes.  Let her know if you or someone you know has something to donate.  We still are looking for information on farms that have been in the family in the 100 year range.

Please feel free to attend meetings and to volunteer your services for that weekend as "many hands make light work".  Meetings are the last Monday in the month at 7 pm, with the next one being February 28.
