Pool Room (Block 2, Lot (3)
Simpson has had a pool room and barber shop since 1911. The original
pool room, built by Kay Stott, was burned in the 1922 fire. Some of the
early owners were B. McMurray, W.R. Strain, E.D. Parkes and W.S.
McDonald.
Stan
McDonald rebuilt the pool room in 1923. Nels Berggren barbered in
Simpson from 1928 until 1944 when he sold the business to Herman.
Herman has been in business in the same location for more than 40 years.
For
a short time Joe Cave operated a barber shop near E.B. Brown's garage
on the south side of Main Street.
